Pages with marks are rebuilt as an image – the text underneath is then guaranteed to be removed, not just covered up. To keep the page searchable anyway, WipePDF automatically re-recognises the remaining text (OCR) and places it invisibly back on top. The only cost: these pages get a bit larger than the original – a small trade-off for real, guaranteed redaction.
